First get to know what is rate of change
To find the population after 5 years, multiply the current population by (1 - 0.05) raised to the power of 5.
The maximum height can be found by finding the vertex of the parabolic equation, which represents the maximum point.
To find the value after 3 years, multiply the current value by (1 - 0.10) raised to the power of 3.
The rate of change of a function is the rate at which one quantity is changing with respect to another quantity.
Divide the total capacity of the tank (200 liters) by the filling rate (5 liters/minute) to find the time taken.
Divide the total distance (240 km) by the speed (60 km/h) to find the time taken.
Rate of change between two points is nothing but slope of the points.
To find the population after 6 hours, multiply the initial population by 2 raised to the power of 6.
To find the height after 10 weeks, multiply the rate of change (2 cm/week) by the number of weeks (10) and add it to the initial height (30 cm).
