To find the length of each piece when a rope measuring 2/3 meters is divided into 9 equal pieces, we need to divide the total length of the rope by the number of pieces.
In an area model representing the division of 8 by 2/3, we can imagine a rectangular shape where 8 is divided into equal parts, each representing 2/3.
When dividing a whole number by a unit fraction using the area model, the quotient will always be greater than the whole number.
