IGCSE Grade 6 Maths Understanding relationship between area and perimeter
|
The perimeter of the square is \\(2(5.5+4.5)=20\\) cm. Therefore the length of each side is \\(\\frac{20}{5}=\\)5 cm and the area is \\(5^2=25\\text{cm}^2\\).
Use area of triangle and area of reactangle formula.
area of rectangle = L X B
Perimeter of rectangle = 2x(L+B), Area of rectangle = L X B
Perimeter of rectangle = 2x(length + width)
Use area of rectangle formula
The perimeter of a square is = Sum of all the sides of a square.
perimeter of rectangle = 2 x (L + B)
Area of a triangle \\(=\\frac{1}{2}\\times \\text{base}\\times \\text{height}\\)
Use the formula of area of rectangle and perimeter of the rectangle
