A geometric sequence is a sequence in which each term is found by multiplying the preceding term by the same value.
the formula to find the nth term of GP is:
an = tn = arn-1
Use the formula: an = a1 (r)n − 1
the formula to find the nth term of GP is:
an = tn = arn-1
The arithmetic mean (AM) = (x₁ + x₂ + x₃ + ... + xₙ) / n.
The geometric mean (GM) = (x₁ · x₂ · x₃ · ... · xₙ)1/n.
Use the formula: an= a1 (r)n-1
The formula to find the sum of n terms of GP is:
Sn = a[(rn – 1)/(r – 1)] if r ≠ 1 and r > 1
Sn = a + ar + ar2 + ar3 +…+ arn-1
Use the formula:
an= a1 (r)n-1
Common ratio = (Any term) / (Preceding term)
= tn / tn-1
