Luce County had zero recorded floods. Jefferson County had between 1 and 20 floods. Penobscot County had between 21 and 100 floods. Lancaster County had between 101 and 4,114 floods.

Area A had between 1 and 5 strong tornadoes. Area B had between 6 and 15 strong tornadoes. Area C had more than 25 strong tornadoes. Area D had between 16 and 25 strong tornadoes. So, of these four areas, Area C had the largest number of strong tornadoes between 1950 and 1998.

Color white in the map indicates a very small probability of experiencing damaging earthquake effects (low risk) while colored red in the map which is near major active faults capable of producing the most intense shaking (high risk) as indicated in the Seismic Design Categories.

The map shows that in southeastern Texas, most counties had 29 or more tropical storms and hurricanes. In northwestern Texas, most counties had 28 or fewer tropical storms and hurricanes.
