To measure light weight items we use grams.
1 jar = 1 kg 250 g
3 jar = \\(3 \\times ( 1 kg \\ \\ 250 g) \\)
4 bottles = 3,500 ml
1 bottle = \\(3,500\\ kg\\ Â \\div\\ Â 4\\)
1 kg = 1,000 g 2
kg = 2,000 g
Add 2,000 g + 250 g + 10 g
John is 12 kg heavier than Sam. So add 12 kg to Sam's weight.
1 pumpkin = 750 g
1 kg = 1,000 g
3 kg = 3,000 g
Estimate the weight of the plastic plate. Gram is used for the lighter weight items
1 apple = 50 g
1 kg = 1,000 g
To find number of apples divide 1,000 g by 50.
Add the weight of all the items
1,000 g = 1 kg
